Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service at Austins Steakhouse

I first moved to Las Vegas in August of 2002 . We had only been here for about 2 weeks. Me and my husband at the time were searching for a nice restaurant to have dinner in.  We stumbled across Austin's steakhouse inside of the Texas station. We got there and we were immediately seated. We were given friendly prompt service. The waiter was very kind and courteous. He suggested some red wines and served them expeditiously. We kind of already knew what we wanted but they suggested some items on the menu so we decided to order filet mignon along with green beans and baked potato... the food was excellent! The waiter kept coming back and checking on, us filling up water and another glass of wine. I, at one point needed to make a phone call so they brought me a phone. We were both shocked that they would loan me the phone to the restaurant ( I think my cell phone had died ). I also needed to use the restroom and the waiter actually walked me to the restroom. He came back for me and walked me back to the table. We ordered dessert and it was very nice decadent piece of chocolate mousse cake or something like that. We were so amazed on how well we were treated and how good the service and the food was. When we arrived home my husband joked around and said I bet they would of given us a ride home and tucked us in bed too. I got a kick out his humor over this experience... Oh and I must not forget how comfortable my seat was. The décor in the restaurant was very fancy and low light nicely dimmed and intimate setting.  I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a steakhouse off the strip. Its a wonderful place for a nice romantic dinner on an anniversary or valentines day dinner. I have not been back but have recommended it to many people and have told this experience we had there on many occasions...
